Time Magazine Inc is having trouble getting Apple to approve subscription sales via the iTunes store. Up until now, most of the complaints I’ve heard drom developers about Apple’s iTunes App acceptance policy have bordered on whining. But this is a legitimate problem that needs to be sorted out or everyone will suffer, including Apple.
The iPad is making its way into college classrooms. Everyplace from Oklahoma State University to North Carolina State University is doing something with the iPad. Could the iPad replace the need for the expensive books that college students need?
And finally, in what seems to be a daily routine (or perhaps it’s becoming a sporting event that will qualify for the Olympics) lawyers have filed what is possibly the 128,274th class action lawsuit against Apple this year because – wait for it – when you take the iPad out into the hot sun it gets – HOT!

Several non-US pricing plans have been divulged for the Apple iPad.
In Italy the carrier is Vodafone. I don’t speak Italian, but here’s a graphic from their page explaining pricing. I am sure those of you who care or would be impacted can figure it out. The rest of you might get a kick out of seeing it anyway.

In Australia where they speak English (sort of) the pricing is easier to decipher. Optis is the carrier down under and the pricing is very confusing (also seems a bit stiff) but here goes…
(All prices AUS dollars) Their plans start at a $30 SIM Starter Kit that includes 2GB of data, plus an extra 1GB of bonus data—included with every pre-paid plan—for a total of 3GB of data use over 30 days. After buying the SIM pack, users can choose from plans that run for 15 days—one for $15 – 500MB of data or a $20 – 1GB of data—or plans that run 30 days—including a $30 – 3GB of data, $40 – 4GB of data, and $50 – 5GB of data. 60 day plans will be offered, including 9GB of data for $70, 12GB of data for $100, or 14GB of data for $130; there is also a 180 day plan, including 8GB – $80. Post-paid customers, who can cancel anytime with no fee, can choose between monthly plans of 2GB of data for $20, 3GB for $30, or 8GB for $60.
Wow. I am tired just reading that.
In other news, just about every company on the planet is suing Apple this week for something, including HTC and SoftView claiming the iPad violates various of their patents.
