New Poll Question – What’s the iPad’s Killer App?
What will be the iPad’s killer app? You can find the poll on the right side of the PadPundit.com home page.
Our last poll had to do with whether or not you wanted a 3G or a WIFI edition of the iPad. At a rate of about two to one, you said you want the WIFI edition.
Thanks for participating.
Wi-Fi or 3G Poll
Looking at our current poll, “Are you more likely to use WI-FI or 3G services to connect your iPad to the Internet when on the go?” I see that about two thirds of you aren’t waiting for the 3G iPad. Here’s why I’m Buying the iPad W/O 3G.
On April 3, I am pulling the trigger on the non-3G model – it is cheaper, doesn’t require a data plan (cheaper still) and I can get it first
But as a dedicated Verizon MIFI user, I am not worried about accessing the Web. I have that card in my pocket at all times. The Verizon bandwidth already costs me $60 a month. Why not tap into that for the iPad?
The downsides are:
1) no location-based services (GPS) – oh well, I can type in my address. I think I am smart enough to figure out where I am standing at all times.
2) the MIFI battery won’t last as long as the iPad’s battery so assuming the worst-case scenario, you’d have to find a power outlet to recharge the MIFI – even airplanes are starting to have AC power at the seat.

PadPundit Poll Results – What Sort of Apps Do You Want?
In our first ever poll here at PadPundit we asked what sort of apps you’d like to see developed for the iPad. You can see the results below. Utilities were the big winner followed by Communications and Games. I’m a bit surprised that games didn’t score higher given their success on the iPhone.
Email padpundit@me.com and let us know what other poll questions you’d like to see.
